I think it is essential to understand your strengths, weaknesses, inspirations, likes, dislikes and preferences in any situation, like your personal brand. “Professional brand” for me becomes a little more difficult for me to think about because of the fact that I am very tied in my personal life to being professional and really doing the best you can in a given situation.
So where is the distinction? Sit down and list off the ways that you specifically can benefit each employer, like what you can bring to the table.
I think this has been an important aspect for me…Like when I think about what I can bring to the table, I also begin to eliminate workplaces that do not /will not appreciate my views, sense of humor or working style.
Is there a formula for creating a brand? especially for someone like me, where my personal values and inspirations would be tied to my professional brand?
